Health

Anyone who is planning to travel to India should see a physician four to eight weeks before they depart.

Be careful what you eat and drink while in India, especially if traveling with young children. You should never drink tap water unless it has been boiled, filtered, or chemically disinfected. The best plan is to only drink bottled water. Be careful to eat food only from a trusted source. More more information on food and water precautions click here.

Mefloquine should be taken starting 1-2 weeks before your departure until 4 weeks after your departure to avoid Malaria. For more information on Medications and Immunizations click here.
